Open Receptionist > AI settings to edit the basic behavior used by the receptionist.
Greeting
The greeting is the opening line your receptionist uses when answering a call or starting a conversation. Keep it short and specific.
Example:
Thanks for calling Bright Smile Dental. I’m the AI receptionist. How can I help?
Open AI settings
In the dashboard sidebar, go to Receptionist. The AI settings page opens by default.
Edit the greeting
Update the Greeting field.
Save
Click Save beside the greeting field.
Default customer language
The Default customer language setting supports:
| Option | Value |
|---|
| English | en |
| French | fr |
Choose the language your receptionist should use when the caller’s preference is unknown.
Runtime language handling is currently built around English and French. Do not document or promise other languages unless the app adds them as supported runtime locales.
Default transfer number
The Default transfer number is the phone number used when the receptionist performs a live handoff to a human.
Enter a number
Add a complete phone number in the transfer number field.
Save
Click Save beside the transfer number field.
Add rules if needed
Use Receptionist > Rules to describe when the receptionist should transfer, take a message, or ask for callback details.
If no transfer number is saved, live transfers cannot complete. The receptionist can still take a callback or follow-up message.
